  • The scent of summer lingering in the air recollects a nostalgic memory of country life by the open fields …

Lying profoundly under the canopies of two majestic Flame trees, Sasi captures a sense of slower life in the countryside through a streamlined farmhouse facade with herb gardens and grassland. With layers of contemporary touches, the new eatery conjures a new casual dining experience with a laidback and natural lifestyle.

The design draws on extensive research to bring forth a picturesque atmosphere of the countryside. The architecture recalls a vernacular agricultural building as a point of start, heightening with church-scaled windows that invite sunlight and foliage shadows. To ensure the resulting space felt connected to its shell, the interior exposed timber trusses and effortlessly transcended into the streamlined rustic farmhouse aesthetic. A subtle palette of soft and neutral hues fostered familiar and welcoming sensibilities to encourage conversations and good times.

The interior planning was designed to be open and flexible to accommodate versatile seating arrangements, from an indoor event to an alfresco celebration. Extending the narratives of farmland and natural produce, the landscape is surrounded by herb and fragrant gardens of European and local species, which serve as ingredients for the kitchen. The careful craft and curation lent Sasi to become a gathering place of comfort for everyone, and to embark on a journey of exceptional culinary experiences.

Under their vermillion blooms, this land brings and celebrates the joy of holistic countryside living, the charm of a slower pace, and the flavors of nature.
